Principal’s Message

Dear Students, Parent/Guardians, and Community Members:

It is with great excitement to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year at Dillon Middle School. It always amazes me how fast summer break flies by from year to year. I hope students are refreshed and excited to start the new school year at DMS. Please keep a close eye on our district newsletters, Facebook page, website, and local newspaper for updates on important happenings throughout the school year.

It's important to know and understand at DMS, as our mission statement states, we value growth, achievement and citizenship through a supportive environment. These values lie at the heart of everything we do and guide our fundamental mission: Balancing human development needs with academic goals. We recognize the uniqueness of each individual as he/she grows from childhood to adolescence and commit to provide a smoother transition through this period of growth.

I want to personally encourage every student to become as involved as possible during their time at DMS. Research shows that well rounded students that are involved in clubs/activities are significantly more successful academically and have a much more positive view of their educational experience. Regardless of how successful a student is, we ask him/her to put their best effort forward and try to enjoy as many activities as possible during their time at DMS.

I am honored and privileged to serve as principal of DMS and to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. Please feel free to contact me at 406-683-2368 (Option 2) or email me directly if you have any questions and/or concerns.

Once again, welcome and GO COUGS!

Very Respectfully,

Joel Rogers, Dillon Middle School Principal
