As a reminder, today and tomorrow, October 14th and 15th, District #10 students will be released early following our Friday dismissal schedule. Also, Wednesday, 10/16, is a regular day of school followed by No School on Thursday and Friday, 10/17 and 10/18. ​Good morning DMS volleyball and cross country parents/guardians, this is Mr. Rogers sending out some updates for the next couple of days. 7th and 8th volleyball and 7th and 8th cross country will be riding one bus to Boulder and MT City tomorrow for their events. The bus will depart at 1:00 pm. Cross country will be dropped off first in Boulder for the race slated to start at 4:00 pm. The bus will then take volleyball to MT City where the B teams will play first at 4:00 pm, followed by A teams at 5:00 pm. The cross country meet will be at Veterans Park located at 304 N Main Street in Boulder. Volleyball in MT City will be at MT City School located at 11 McClellan Creek Rd. 6th grade cross country will NOT have practice after school tomorrow, 10/10/24. 6th-8th grade cross country will have practice after school on Friday, 10/11/24 until 4:00 pm. 7th and 8th grade will NOT have volleyball practice on Friday, 10/11/24. Hello 7th and 8th grade football parents/guardians, unfortunately Belgrade has canceled the rescheduled games today, 10/8/24, due to smoke. We did our best to try and reschedule our last game of the year, but unfortunately it is not going to happen. Tonight after school, 7th and 8th grade football players need to check in their football equipment to coaches. Check in will only take about 45 minutes and players will be done at 4:15 pm today.

Hello 7th and 8th grade football parents/guardians, we are confirmed for games in Belgrade today, 10/8/24. 7th grade will play at 4:00 pm, followed by 8th grade. Games are at Belgrade Middle School. The bus will depart at 1:30 pm today. If smoke in Belgrade is too thick again today, we will have to cancel and we will notify you. Unfortunately, today is the only available day to reschedule a game, so fingers crossed the smoke cooperates.

Hello 7th/8th grade football parents, this is Mr. Rogers sending out a message regarding rescheduling of football in Belgrade for tomorrow, 10/8/24. We are working to confirm a bus and refs in Belgrade to make these games happen. Please send your child to school tomorrow with their jersey prepared to leave at 1:30 pm. Games would still be at 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm IF we can get a bus, if we can get referees, and if the smoke stays at an appropriate level. I will send out an update tomorrow morning as soon as I can to confirm whether or not football will take place tomorrow in Belgrade.

7th and 8th grade football games in Belgrade today, 10/7, were just cancelled due to smoke levels in the Gallatin Valley. 7th and 8th grade football as well as 6th-8th grade cross country will NOT have practice after school today due to smoke levels in Dillon. Hey 7th and 8th grade volleyball parents/guardians, games at home have been confirmed against Anaconda today, 10/7/24. 7th grade B and 8th grade B play at 4:30, followed by 7th grade A and 8th grade A around 5:30. 7th grade games are in the DMS gym and 8th grade games are in the Parkview gym.

Hello football parents/guardians, this is Mr. Rogers sending out confirmation that football will have a bus today for a trip to Belgrade today, 10/7/24. The bus will depart DMS at 1:30 pm. 7th grade starts at 4:00 pm followed by the 8th grade. The games will be at Belgrade Middle School in Belgrade.

Good afternoon DMS parents/guardians, this is Mr. Rogers sending out a couple of reminders of upcoming items. First, tomorrow, 10/2/24, is picture day for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students starting at 8:30 am. All students will be getting a photo taken, regardless if parents are paying for them or not. Students must follow the dress code for pictures (no cowboy hats, etc). Students were sent home with picture packets last week. Make up picture day for absent students is November 7th. The picture code for these pictures is EVTCRCGZB if parents/guardians would like to pay online. Second, Friday, 10/4/24, after school, is our fall sports pictures for 7th/8th grade volleyball, 7th/8th grade football, and 6th-8th grade cross country. 6th grade volleyball does not get sports pictures. Sport picture packets were sent home yesterday with athletes. The picture code for these sports pictures is EVTBX4JD9 if parents would like to pay online. 8th grade B volleyball practice is over at 5:00 pm today. 8th grade A and B volleyball practice is over Friday, 10/4, at 4:00 pm. Also, as a reminder, team pictures are Friday after school. Your kiddo should have came home with a picture packet.

Busses have been confirmed today for Cross Country to Clancy and Volleyball A to Butte Central today. 7th/8th Cross Country departs at 1:30 and the meet is slated to start at 4:00 pm. The address of the meet is 18 Clancy Creek Road, Clancy, MT 59634. 6th grade Cross Country has practice after school from 3:45-5pm. Volleyball A teams depart to play Butte Central at 2:15 pm today. 7th grade A plays at 4:30, followed by 8th grade A at 5:30. Volleyball games today are Butte Central High School Gym location at 9 S. Idaho Street in Butte.

B volleyball will play Deer Lodge at 4:30 and 5:30 pm today in the DMS gym. 7th grade will play first, followed by 8th grade.

There is no 7th grade football practice after school today.

The volleyball bus to Butte East has been confirmed to leave DMS at 2:15 pm today, 9/26. 7th grade B and 8th grade B play at 4:00 pm and 7th A and 8th A play at 5:00.

Football games at home on the middle school football field start today, 9/24, with 7th grade playing at 4:00 pm followed by 8th grade around 5:00 pm.

Volleyball bus has been confirmed for today, 9/23. Bus departs at 2:00 pm to Anaconda. 8th Grade A and B teams play at Fred Moodry and 7th grade A and B games at Lincoln. Games start a 4 pm with B teams playing first.

Buses have been confirmed for today, 9/19/24, for 7th/8th B volleyball in Deer Lodge and 7th/8th grade football in Anaconda. Buses departs DMS at 2 pm today. 7th grade B volleyball will play a few extra matches today as Deer Lodge has a large number of girls out this year. Volleyball games are played at the CPC Center at 444 Montana Avenue in Deer Lodge starting at 4 pm for 7th grade followed by 8th grade. Both 7th and 8th grade football play in Anaconda at Mitchell Stadium located on West 5th Street. 7th grade plays Anaconda at 4pm followed by 8th grade playing Butte Central at 5 pm.

Hello DMS parents/guardians, this is Mr. Rogers sending out information regarding bussing for DMS activities. Unfortunately, there continues to be a shortage of bus drivers at BCHS. Because of this, it has and will likely continue to negatively impact activities at DMS. After consulting with BCHS/SD10 administrators and others, I wanted to send you information as to how this issue will be addressed moving forward. First, we will only schedule one bus for any activity trip and hope the high school can get one driver. Second, if a bus driver is not available for an activity trip, which is a distinct possibility, I will work with the other school to see about the possibility of changing the date and/or having that team come to Dillon for that scheduled event. Third, if we are unable to have a team travel to Dillon and/or reschedule the event, then unfortunately we will have to cancel that activity trip and it will likely not be made up. If an activity is canceled or if the venue has changed, we will let you know as soon as possible. Again, this situation is not ideal, however is one that I take very seriously. I will continue to do what I can to help address this issue. We hope the high school is able to hire more bus drivers soon to alleviate this situation moving forward. A couple of activity reminders as we get toward the end of the activity week. No 7th or 8th grade volleyball practice after school today. As a reminder, the 7th and 8th grade A volleyball games were changed to home next Tuesday, 9/17 at 4:30 and 5:30 in the DMS gym (7th plays first). 7th and 8th grade cross country runners leave at 10:45 am today for their meet in Anaconda, slated to start at 1:00 pm as Washoe Park. 6th grade cross country has a regular scheduled practice today after school. Tomorrow, Saturday, 9/14, cross country will have a voluntary practice at 2:30 pm in place of the canceled practice this week. 6th grade volleyball and 7th/8th grade football have a regular practice after school. We hope the smoke and schedule cooperates a little better next week for activities!
